Established in December 2008, Bluebell Dairy are a family-friendly farm park and artisan ice cream wholesaler supplying the Midlands region. Featuring two sites for ice cream production and attractions, the company’s energy consumption encouraged Bluebell Dairy’s dedication to investing in renewable energy and improving their sustainability.
The regularly in-use freezer is responsible for a huge amount of power usage at the ice cream site and their investment in solar power is the perfect solution for decreasing energy costs and the associated carbon footprint.
Energy cost savings are not the only commercial benefits to have inspired Bluebell Dairy to take a step towards a sustainable future. Several of their ice cream distribution companies such as the National Trust and National Heritage have demanded an increase in green credentials in their supply chain – and through adopting sustainable solutions, Bluebell Dairy are satisfying their suppliers and improving their own eco-friendly status.
