Geo Green Power fit air-source heat pump for local couple

Following a solar panel installation in 2010, Duncan and Suzanne Hewitt from Barrow upon Trent began to see the benefits of investing in sustainable energy. After having an air-source heat pump fitted in the property next door that they rent out, Duncan and Suzanne were incredibly impressed with its efficiency and since their own boiler required an overdue upgrade, they opted to have an air-source heat pump installed in their own home.

Since Duncan and Suzanne were incredibly impressed with the quality of advice from Geo Green Power regarding the first ASHP installation, they decided to contact them again. Duncan explained that he admired Geo Green Power’s “friendly and relaxed approach”, and that they “answered all the questions without hard-selling”- something other companies had failed to do.

Due to their house being over 180 years old in some places, fitting an air-source heat pump would be challenging. A few energy companies were wary of this and offered easier solutions that Duncan and Suzanne didn’t agree with. Geo Green Power, however, were able to navigate these obstacles and successfully managed to fit new pipework with minimal disruption to the house.

Duncan and Suzanne were very pleased with the team’s tidiness and respect for their home. Duncan stated that: “The final day saw the house left practically as it was found, they even refitted the carpet, bricked up old boiler flue holes with like-for-like bricks, and hoovered everything.”

The couple are very content with their 8kW Stiebel WPL-A 07 air source heat pump with a combined 225l hot water cylinder and 65l buffer, and the system is estimated to save 8.65 tonnes of CO2 per annum.
