Mike explained that the “installation went smoothly and as scheduled.” Our surveyor, James, discussed the installation with Mike and carefully worked out how to optimise the roof space for the panels. He also showed him where the inverter and batteries would go and explained that an additional consumer unit would be needed to go by the side of the original.
After approving the plan, the installation was quickly scheduled for a couple of weeks later, and the scaffolding went up the day before the solar PV system was installed. Over the next two days, panels, batteries, an inverter, and an auxiliary consumer unit were fitted. There was a brief pause for the main switch to be fitted by the DNO, and final commissioning was completed just over a week after commencement.
Mike added: “I had the workings of the monitoring app explained to me and the engineer ensured I was comfortable with it before leaving. As arranged, the scaffolding was removed a few days later.”
