Geo Green Power were shortlisted for the prestigious Construction News Specialist Awards in the category for Contractor of the Year for our commitment to outstanding customer service, professional expertise and our passion for decarbonising our own operations.
Our category was open to any specialist contracting company, with an annual turnover of up to £25 million, that have achieved outstanding outcomes between January 2023 and April 2024.
Our entry caught the judges’ attention and we were invited to Constructions News’s HQ to be grilled by a panel of judges. This year’s judges were impressed by the tenacity and sheer excellence demonstrated throughout the entire shortlist and commented how Geo Green Power are positively reacting to changes in the market and investing in our team, fleet and other key areas of our business.
Since 2022 we’ve doubled in size, tripled in turnover, and set our sights on becoming the employer of choice in the sector – something we feel we are achieving following our shortlisting.
As part of our sustainability improvement practices, we no longer purchase diesel vehicles for our fleet- and all new car purchases are full EVs or plug-in hybrid vehicles. Our charging stations have been installed at our office and have recently installed solar panels on our office roof.
We had tough competition and would like to share our congratulations with winner’s Metec.
We hope to receive more nominations and add more accolades to our business.
