Geo Green Power Autumn 2020 Newsletter

Although your plans for 2020 were most likely changed, we hope that you have enjoyed the summer and that those of you with solar PV have been making the most of that free solar energy. As the UK continues to recover from the Covid-19 crisis, we at Geo Green Power believe that low carbon initiatives and a focus on renewable energy must be at the centre of the effort to build back greener.

It’s great to see strides being made in the Government’s approach to turn domestic heating renewable, with the extension of the domestic RHI to 2022 and the new Green Homes Grant providing greater access to heat pumps.

To really ‘build back greener’, the Government’s policy must be informed by the net-zero carbon targets that have been set out. Carbon Brief recently reported that in order to meet the UK’s carbon targets, CO2 emissions need to be cut by another 31% by 2030, compared to the 29% achieved over the last decade.

We’re proud that our installations have contributed to this initial reduction in CO2 emissions and delighted that you chose to make your renewable investment with us. However, there is a lot more to be done, and we’re looking forward to working on many more projects with new and existing customers as we help homeowners and businesses go green!
