We are delighted to announce that we’ll be attending face-to-face judging in London following our shortlisting in the 2024 Construction News Specialists Awards for Specialist Contractor of the Year.
Our entry focused on our outstanding development and expansion as a business. Our team has grown from 27 at the start of 2022 to 60 currently and our turnover has tripled. In 2014 we purpose built Green Barn for our office team of 3 and a store, by 2023 this space was full to bursting and in May last year we transferred our stores to a 4,068 ft2 warehouse unit and moved our 25 strong office team to new offices in January 2024.
We want Geo Green Power to be a place of work that attracts brilliant, talented individuals who care about doing a great job. We offer enhanced holidays, private healthcare, an employee assistance programme, and company bonus as standard and ensure that all our team have clear development opportunities and regular training. We are an accredited Living Wage employer and support a work/life balance by offering flexible and hybrid working patterns. In turn our team delivers installations we’re proud of, delights our customers and supports our ongoing success and growth. Team turnover is just 10% and over 95% of our team would recommend us as a great place to work.
A true measure of our excellence is the long-standing partnerships we build with customers. Over 50% of our sales come from repeat business and recommendations with customers returning to work with us on multiple schemes as their operations grow or requirements change. Throughout 2023 we have carried out rolling installation programmes for multi-site companies including Inchcape UK and Mitchells & Butlers.
We’re focused on improving our sustainability. We won’t purchase any more diesel vehicles for our fleet, all new car purchases are full EVs or plug in hybrid vehicles. We have our own charging facilities and are installing solar PV at our new offices. We divert as much waste as possible from landfill, recycle old technology and have signed up to the Solar Energy UK’s Supply Chain statement.
Please wish us luck with the next stage of the awards!
