The true brilliance of this installation lies in how these technologies interact. Air source heat pumps are remarkably efficient, but they rely entirely on electricity to run. By installing the heat pump alongside a 5.9kWp solar array and an 11.52kWh battery, the homeowner has unlocked a highly efficient, sustainable eco power system. The solar panels and battery act as the perfect, free resource to fuel the heating and hot water of the home. Instead of drawing expensive electricity from the national grid to heat the house, she utilises her own clean, self-generated power.
