Troubleshooting Common Problems with Solar Panels

If your system display shows a red warning light or zero generation, try these basic safety checks before booking a call-out:

Look at your main fuse box and solar AC isolator. Has a breaker tripped? Flip it back on if safe to do so.

a. Turn OFF the AC isolator (usually near your fuse box).

b. Turn OFF the DC isolator (usually near your inverter).

c. Wait 5 minutes for the system to drain residual charge.

d. Turn the DC isolator back ON, followed by the AC isolator.

If the display still shows an error code (e.g., “Grid Outage“, “Isolation Fault“, “PV Overvoltage“), write it down.
