A Reduction in CO2 Emissions

Formed in 1997, Conveyor Systems Ltd (CSL) provides materials handling solutions in warehouses, factories, 3PL fulfilment centres and e-commerce distribution centres. They are a major systems integrator handling multi-million-pound projects and one of the UK’s leading solution suppliers.

CSL’s approach to developing customer solutions centres around efficiency and green practices; delivering cost savings and a reduction in CO2 emissions. This same mantra was carried across to the design of their own building in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, and energy efficiency and solar generation became a priority.

Working with Geo Green Power

Geo Green Power was recommended to Mike Graham, Managing Director for CSL, by a friend who had a similar installation on agricultural buildings. He was quick to praise the Geo Green Power processes and installation:

CSL’s modern building has energy-efficient heating, ventilation and LED lighting to keep running costs low, but like many businesses, day-to-day operations and the addition of EV chargers have increased energy usage. The investment in solar PV has given Mike peace of mind that energy costs are being kept to a minimum.

The Results

The system has allowed Conveyor Systems Limited to generate more than 40,200kWh of electricity per year and reduce carbon emissions by 14 tonnes. This is the equivalent of taking 3 cars off the road annually, and they are estimated to make a cost saving of £477,000 over the next 30 years.
