    Who We Work With

Geo Green Power provides commercial EV solutions across the UK for a wide variety of sectors. We work with:

Fleet Operators: Streamlining the electrification of company vehicles.

Office & Business Parks: Providing essential workplace EV charging facilities.

Retail & Hospitality: Enhancing customer experience and dwell time with commercial EV charging stations.

Industrial & Manufacturing: Integrating high voltage charging into existing heavy-duty electrical infrastructures.

      EV and Solar: Maximising Efficiency

EV and solar PV are a natural partnership. Adding a rooftop or ground-mounted solar array allows you to power your commercial EV chargers with energy generated directly from the sun, essentially allowing you to charge your fleet for free while lowering grid reliance.

EV charging with solar is the cleanest, most cost-effective way to manage the increased energy demand that comes with electrification.

      Solar Carports

For businesses looking to maximise their space, Geo Green Power offers solar carports. These structures provide shelter for vehicles while utilising the “roof” space of your car park to generate renewable electricity. This is an ideal way to integrate commercial EV charging stations with high-yield solar generation without requiring additional building roof space.

Commercial EV Charger Options & Costs

The cost of a commercial EV charging station installation will depend on the type of chargers required and the existing electrical infrastructure. We work with industry-leading brands, including:

      • MyEnergi
      • Tesla
      • Rolec

The commercial EV charger you need will be driven by your requirements. If vehicles stay on-site for long periods, standard charging is often sufficient. For rapid turnaround times, we can install fast-charge, high-voltage facilities.

      UK Commercial EV Financing Options

      Capital Expenditure (Capex)

What it is: Your business pays the total cost of the hardware, groundworks, and electrical installation upfront.

      • Benefits: You have full ownership and control. You can decide whether to offer free charging as an employee benefit or set a tariff to generate profit.
      • Example: A warehouse invests £15,000 to install 10 7kW chargepoints. By owning them, they avoid monthly fees and can integrate the chargers with their existing on-site solar panels to charge their fleet for “free.”

“Fully Funded” or CPO Model (The EV equivalent of a PPA)

What it is: A Charge Point Operator (CPO) pays for everything, installation, maintenance, and electricity, in exchange for a long-term lease on your parking spaces.

      • Benefits: Zero upfront cost and zero maintenance responsibility. The provider recoups their investment by charging drivers (employees or the public) a fee per kWh.
      • Example: A retail park or hotel allows a provider like BP Pulse or InstaVolt to install “Rapid” chargers. The business pays nothing, while the provider manages the billing and hardware, sometimes offering the landowner a small “ground rent” or a percentage of the revenue.

      Asset Finance / Leasing

What it is: You spread the cost of the charging equipment over 3–7 years via a lease or hire purchase agreement.

      • Benefits: Preserves cash flow while allowing you to own the chargers at the end of the term. Payments are often tax-deductible as a business expense.
      • Example: A logistics company leases £50,000 worth of DC rapid chargers for its delivery vans. The monthly finance payment is offset by the massive fuel savings gained from switching from diesel to electric.

      Government Grants (OZEV)

What it is: Specific UK grants designed to lower the barrier for workplace and fleet charging.

      • Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS): Currently provides a voucher for £350 per socket, up to a maximum of 40 sockets (£14,000 total). It is open to businesses, charities, and public sector organisations.
      • EV Infrastructure Grant for SMEs: Provides up to £15,000 (or 75% of costs) for small-to-medium businesses to help with the “unseen” costs of installation, such as wiring, cabling, and grid upgrades, even if you aren’t installing all the chargers immediately.
      • Example: An office with 20 parking spaces applies for the WCS voucher before their installation. Their final invoice from an approved installer is automatically reduced by £7,000 (20 sockets x £350).

      Commercial EV FAQs

How much does a commercial EV charging point cost?

A commercial EV charging point typically costs between £1,000 and £1,500 (+VAT) per unit for standard “fast” chargers (7kW–22kW), though rapid DC chargers can range from £15,000 to over £35,000 depending on the speed and hardware. Total installation costs will vary based on required groundworks and whether your site needs a grid connection upgrade from the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO).

How much power do commercial EV chargers require?

The power required depends on the charger type: standard workplace units usually need 7kW (single-phase) or 22kW (three-phase), while rapid chargers require a high-capacity supply of 50kW to 150kW+. For businesses installing multiple units, total power demand can exceed 100kW, often necessitating dynamic load management or a dedicated transformer to prevent overloading the building’s existing electrical supply.

Do Geo Green Power provide any aftercare for your charging system?

Geo Green Power provides thorough aftercare following the installation of an EV charging station. We remain on hand for any questions you may have after your system’s installation.

Do I need to contact DNO regarding my charger?

You will only need to contact DNO to upgrade your connection if you are looking to purchase multiple chargers or high-powered fast chargers. We are happy to advise you and take on liaising with your DNO.

Do I need to install a fast charger?

This will depend on how long you plan to charge your vehicles. If you only have a short time to charge, we recommend you purchase a fast charger.

How long does the installation take?

A single chargepoint can be installed in less than half a day. Larger and more complicated systems will take longer.
