Wayne Lockton
Our newest member of the senior leadership team, Technical Director Wayne Lockton plays a pivotal role in supporting both the Technical and Site Teams, ensuring processes, quality, and project progress are maintained effectively across the business. With over a decade of experience in construction and approaching four years in the renewable energy sector, he brings a calm, methodical approach to complex projects, underpinned by a Level 4 qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a deep understanding of on-site delivery.
Before entering the construction and energy industries, Wayne spent 12 years in the British Army with the Royal Corps of Signals, joining in 2000 as a Radio Systems Operator. During this time, they completed four operational tours across Iraq and Afghanistan, working in high-pressure environments where precision, leadership, and clear communication were critical. Their experience ranged from frontline communications and patrol operations to commanding specialist radio detachments and supporting air operations as part of a Tactical Air Control Party. This military background instilled a strong sense of discipline, accountability, and teamwork that continues to shape their leadership style today.
Following their military career, Wayne built further technical expertise in the offshore oil and gas sector and the UK water industry, working as an electrician on complex electrical systems including motor control centres and pump controls nationwide. He joined Geo Green Power nearly four years ago and has progressed through multiple roles – from Electrician and Foreman to Project Manager – before stepping into the role of Technical Director. Outside of work, they have a strong appreciation for the great outdoors, reflecting a practical, grounded outlook that aligns closely with the company’s values and commitment to sustainable energy.
