Panasonic has saved on CO2 with solar

Following Panasonic contacting us, our dedicated team at Geo Green Power installed a 30kW solar PV system for Panasonic Electric Works UK Ltd – a modest sized system which is generating a surprising amount of electricity!

Geo Green Power’s installation on Panasonic Electric Works UK Ltd offices in Milton Keynes forms part of the leading supplier of consumer and business electronics ambition to be carbon neutral in terms of their energy by 2030 and energy positive by 2050. Robert Dixon, Technical Sales Manager, said: “As a global organisation Panasonic has 100s of offices and locations worldwide. This is just a small office, and a small step, but all those steps soon add up to a large impact.

On Geo Green Power’s installation process, Robert added: “I was really pleased with the installation process, Geo Green Power’s team were able to do all the physical install and they seemed to snap the panels together like perfect Lego sets. It was seamless, I was really impressed with the guys and really pleased with the job.”

Panasonic Electric Works UK Ltd is regularly monitoring their system and has seen a significant impact on their imported electricity usage.  Robert added: “It’s really quite interesting to see what you can produce from what is a relatively modest system. We estimated that we were using about 80kWh of energy from the grid every day. On a sunny day we’re now generating up to 200kWh so we’re easily saving around 70% of our energy costs.”

“The new installation is going really well, I’m still obviously in the early days where I end up checking the stats on a daily basis, just to see if today was a good day or yesterday was a bad day and things like that and it’s really quite interesting to see what you are actually able to produce from what is a relatively modest setup on our roof.”
